You can now subscribe to Amazon Prime for free, including Prime Video. Amazon offers a number of benefits to its Prime members. It costs Rs 329 for three months and Rs 999 for one year. Earlier, Amazon had offered the first month of service for free as part of its launch of Prime services in India. As the services became more popular, they withdrew this benefit. Mobile service providers Airtel, Jio and VI are offering free Prime membership recharge plans for their customers.

NDTV reports that Airtel prepaid customers for Rs 131 and Rs 349 plans and postpaid subscribers on 499, 999 and 1,599 plans will get free Amazon Prime membership. The free service is available for one month on prepaid and one year for postpaid subscribers. VI (Vodafone – Idea) offers free Prime membership to its postpaid subscribers on 499, 699 and 1,099 plans. Jio offers free Prime membership postpaid plans at 399, 599, 799, 999 and 1,499. You can activate the Amazon Prime using that phone number after recharging on the appropriate plan.
